Derbyshire County Cricket Club successfully bid for Derby to be a host city for the 2017 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup.

 

Derwent Valley Construction, alongside a number of other local businesses provided funding to enable the manufacture and erection of a giant set of cricket stumps on Pentagon roundabout as part of the #WereBackingTheBid campaign. The stumps will act as a lasting legacy which is fantastic for Derby as a city placing them on the global sporting stage.
